This unique bar can't be missed... with it's sandy floor, swings, rustic bar stools, and huge sea serpent skeleton hanging from the ceiling. There are life-size Day of the Dead skeletons that sit at the end of the bar in front of an altar that burns candles at night. Just outside the bar are two "miradors" or crow's nests. These lookouts perch on the beach and have great panoramic views of the bay and sunsets. (Climb at your own risk!)

All sorts of interesting details are incorporated into this unique hangout. The creator and owner of La Buena Vida says, "This is an ongoing art project. I visualize La Buena Vida constantly growing, changing, and mutating until this insignificant, unassuming little monster takes over the world."

Of his wolf dog, Cheyenne, the owner says, "She was my inspirational drive behind La Buena Vida."

The atmosphere in the bar is laid back and fun. The cocktail menu has some tasty drinks like the Akumalic, the Viagra, the Colorado Wolf Dog, and the famous Poo Poo Platter which consists of all the different shots on the bar menu.
