Water Conservation: Biodegradable soap is used for all laundry and the bathrooms have water saving devices.
Waste Management: All waste is contained and disposed of under the highest safety
standards. Monthly we add a biodegradable blend of bacteria to help break down to the contents in our septic systems.
Turtle and Reef Protection Programs: All precautions are taken to ensure that there is no disruption to the natural habitat of Akumal’s turtle population and fragile coral reef environment. All of our security guards have been educated in CEA turtle classes and know how to correctly deal with the turtles when they come up on the beach, or are hatching, and who to contact.
Eco-friendly Certification: We have CEA’s Eco-friendly certification.
EarthDay: Every April La Buena Vida participates in EarthDay and invites the local kids to help clean the Akumal area beaches. Food and refreshments are served!
